InfoPortugal has developed the NDrive software, which consists in a personal navigation solution able to work in mobile phones or PDAs, transforming them in sophisticated navigation systems with access to detailed maps and geographic points of interest.

NDrive’s philosophy is based on the efficiency of the software, using an intuitive interface with an appellative design, so that users with less experience don’t feel any difficulty. It was conceived to be mainly used during car driving, with high voice, operational with just one hand.

The system allows a quick search and localization of the map, of any direction or point of interest (for instances, search an hotel, bank or a gas station in a certain route). The software was totally developed in Portugal and it is a good example how Portuguese companies can create and develop high technology, and be truly innovators. In the sector of mobile navigation, there are only a few number of companies in the whole world able to develop solutions, due to the complexity to proceed enormous quantities of information in systems of low memory and speed capacity. InfoPortugal is the only company in the sector in Iberian Peninsula.

The product was thought, since the beginning, for internationalization, running already in eight different languages, both in menus and voice instructions.
