The focus of InfoPortugal's Publishing area is to collect and produce georeferenced tourist contents, boasting the largest national points of interest database (nearly 130,000) and more than 120,000 photos.
InfoPortugal operates with different customers in developing tourist guides, maps and integrated solutions (multimedia projects, web and smartphone apps, interactive DVDs and more). While interacting with other departments, the publishing area combines its added values in terms of producing written contents, photography, video and virtual tours with the inclusion of road axis, aerial photography and the development of multimedia apps. Furthermore, InfoPortugal produces a detailed cultural agenda that includes theatre, dance and music events and exhibitions, among a range of artistic demonstrations, as well as a film screening schedule and a TV EPG featuring daily programming for more than a hundred channels. Also, a table of on-duty pharmacies is developed on a daily basis. Last but not least, InfoPortugal provides a daily service covering traffic events across the Portuguese territory, including planned interventions and maintenance, road blocks, accidents and other constrains.
